Joe and Melissa were married on February 28th in Grand Rapids. These two are made for each other. I told my wife today that they are going to be receiving some of the best images I’ve ever shot before in my life. I don’t know why, the three of us, and their amazing wedding party just seemed to click. On top of that, the light was amazing considering the temperature outside on a Saturday in February (you can imagine).

Their day started off at St. Robert’s in Ada, which is an amazing church with a great coordinator (thanks Julie!) She took care of so many details of their wedding day it made my life much easier. Flowers were done by my great Grand Rapids Dream Weddings partner Bob Brewer of Brew’s Creations in Floral. Bob again created some fantastic bouquets for Melissa and the girls. After the ceremony we took off to the covered bridge in Ada. I’ve known about this spot for a while, but have never shot anything there. What a great way to start off location photos. The light was perfect (see below) and everyone was having so much fun! We then travelled to both Joe’s parents and Melissa’s parents homes. The two of them have know each other for almost 10 years and they grew up right around the corner from each other. The two homes had some great locations overlooking Watermark Golf Course and a gated community off of Grand River Ave.

Following the location photos, we headed off to the reception at Noto’s Old World Italian Dining. As I’ve said before, they always impress and I would definately recommend them. In addition, the day was great because not only did Bob put the flowers together, my good friend Steve Haeishutter of We’ll Shoot You Video Productions and Rich Kosty of Encore Music also played a big role in the day’s activities. The four of us working together has never been better and it shows through Joe and Melissa’s wedding day successes.
