My wife and I have known Katie since her first day at Michigan State. She’s now gone on to get her PhD (Dr. Katie!) in physical therapy and her and her new husband are in Houston, TX! Katie first called me to ask if I could photograph her wedding back in early early 2008 and we put the date into our calendar. Then she called later in the year to let me know that the location was going to be at the Detroit Yacht Club on Belle Isle! I was excited to get over to the Detroit area and then to have such a great location on top of that was just icing on the cake. The ceremony and reception went well and I think it was perhaps the best wedding meal I’ve had in a long time. Talk about a great location! Belle Isle is a fantastic place. There was actually ANOTHER WEDDING going on on the other side of the fountain! Hopefully we didn’t distract too much. :-)
