I have been so excited to share Brad and Emily’s images with everyone ever since their wedding day. Their ceremony was held at Mayflower Congregational Church in East Grand Rapids and I’ve been wanting to shoot there for quite some time. The location didn’t disappoint, that’s for sure and on top of that, Watermark Country Club was fantastic as well. The day started off at Heidi Christine’s in Ada, which is where I met Emily and the ladies at bright and early. The funny thing was that Alisha and Kristi were the hairdressers working on Emily and her bridal party. These two ladies are former brides of mine! Alisha was married in May 2007 and Kristi (who I met through Alisha) was married in October 2007! it’s been a while since I’ve seen these two, but you’ll see an image of Kristi below who did perhaps the BEST updo I’ve ever seen on a bride. She came in especially for Emily who has been seeing her for years and years. Following that it was time for a beautiful ceremony at Mayflower where the wedding party was adventourus and fun even though it was hot out in the sun. I tried making sure we only stayed outside for a short amount of time prior to the ceremony. Following the ceremony the Grand Rapids Trolley company provided transportation to a little know MSU Extension with some amazing gardens where Emily’s mom volunteers her time. Then it was off to the Blue Pedestrian Bridge in downtown GR for some memorable photos of the wedding party. Below you will see one of the best ‘cake smashings’ of all time, so be sure to scroll down and see who got who!
In the end Brad and Emily had a wonderful day that I will remember for years to come. The photos turned out amazing, so be sure to visit their personal website at http://bradandemily.showitsite.com.
Kristi @ Heidi Christine’s – well done with Emily’s hair!

Does a bridal party get much better looking than this group here! It always makes my job so much fun – get paid to hang out with good looking people on the happiest day of their lives!

I love this little moment below. Thought it’s a little soft, Emily’s Dad didn’t ‘give her away’ at the exact right time (not his fault), but she looked back over her shoulder quickly to give him this little smile. Priceless!

Beautiful Couple + Amazing Light = Great Portraits

The 3 Lorden Boys! I’m the oldest of 3 boys as well, so it was great to hang out with three more just like my brothers and I!

A great moment when Brad and Emily were announced. She ran to him after high 5ing her girls and he picked her up and bam – another great moment!

The ultimate cake smashing! Just look at how well she did getting it all over him…don’t worry, as you can see they made up!
