How a Photoshoot Comes to Life

To craft a successful photoshoot, many elements come together. 

All of those elements came together on the same day for our recent client, McKay Tower in downtown Grand Rapids. They were publishing a new website that focused on three areas: residential, office and retail and were in need of a library of images for their website and marketing. 

Overall, they wanted a variety of faces in the building to showcase their services in action. So, we hired professional models to make that happen. We worked with Endless Management to secure two different groups of models, one for the residential setup, and one for the office and retail setting.

We scheduled a full day of shooting photos, as the morning focused on two residential spaces, while the afternoon focused on several office and retail locations.

We brought in a professional hair and makeup artist, Courtney, who was on-site for different looks and touch ups throughout the day. In addition, assisting me with lighting and setup, was Bud Kibby.

In the end, everything came together to create a great collection of images for McKay Tower's needs, as everyone was excited with the outcome.
