iPhone vs Pro Photographs
Throughout my career I have had the pleasure of working with a massive variety of clients. From private events and huge business conferences, to personal weddings and professional headshots. So, when I came across this post from a now friend and client, Ashley Ward, I had to respond!
“You don’t need to invest in hiring a professional photographer to accomplish the purpose of a great headshot.”
My initial reaction was to engage with her post and see if she was up for a challenge.
I responded with:
“Well Ashley Ward, I'm curious how much time it took to capture this particular photo on your roof deck? And I'm curious if you're up for a challenge? Would you be willing to give me the same amount of time to create a professional portrait collection (not just 1) and share the difference?"
She accepted and we hit the ground running. Not only did her photos come out spectacular but she used them directly for her company branding. A win, win!
Why are professional photos so important?
Simple.
1. First Impressions Matter
Your headshot is often the first thing people see when they come across your social media profile, resume, or business website. It sets the tone for their perception of you. A portrait that captures who you are communicates that you take yourself seriously and are committed to presenting your best self.
2. Expertise In Lighting
Expertise in Lighting and Composition: We have years of education and experience in deep understanding of lighting techniques and composition. We know how to use lighting to highlight your best features and create a flattering image that accentuates your personality and character.
