Matt + Kristine | Downtown Grand Rapids Engagement Photos
It's always great to have something in common with the couples we photograph. It's even better when we have known them for a while. It just so happens that Matt and I first met when we were 12 years old at church. Now, we weren't 'best buds' and because we went to different schools we didn't hang out all that much. But as soon as I saw him last year with Kristine, we both recognized one another immediately! Kristine we felt we met for the first time at Kyle and Molly's Grand Valley State wedding last summer. However, as we got to know these two, we figured out that Kristine was actually a guest at one of the very first weddings I photographed at Michigan State back in 2005! She told us that since then she's followed our photo work.
These two were great to work with as they knew exactly what they wanted their engagement session in downtown Grand Rapids to look like. A little more laid back and less formal around the Blue Pedestrian Bridge and the Public Museum and then something a little more formal at Bistro Bella Vita, where they had their first date. We love integrating locations that are meaningful for couples during not only their engagement session but also their wedding day.
