Richard + Sarah | Van Andel Public Museum Wedding Grand Rapids
What happens when a couple plans their wedding at an amazing church then throws in a beautiful reception site and the weather is absolutely perfect on their wedding day? You get Richard and Sarah's wedding during the last weekend in May. The wedding day was the first time we met these two great people. They planned their wedding at a distance and the times they were in Grand Rapids, we were either out of town or busy unfortunately. Regardless, after working through their wedding day details and learning about what they were excited about for their wedding day, we knew we could take care of their photography needs.
Their wedding ceremony was planned at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in downtown Grand Rapids. There are several churches in the downtown Grand Rapids area, but there are not hundreds to choose from. St. Mark's was a beautiful choice with its dark wood pews, red carpet and stained glass windows. Few places are more inspiring to us when it comes to ceremony locations in Grand Rapids.
Following the ceremony we traveled over to the Van Andel Public Museum just a few blocks away where we explored the museum prior to guests arriving. Once guests arrived, we made our way outside for photos around the fantastic grounds the museum has along the Grand Rapids riverfront. The carousel was definitely a favorite of the bride and grooms and we were able to create some beautiful images of the two of them having a fun moment while riding.
