Alex + Kristen | Wedding At The Dearborn Inn
Sometimes couples are looking for simple rather than complex on their wedding day. They don’t need to drive to a salon, get ready at a hotel, married in a church, stop places for photos and then end up at their reception.
Simple is exactly what Alex and Kristen were looking for on their wedding day: simple and easy as neither love being the center of attention.
As they planned their wedding day, we discovered it would be an intimate day with the two of them, a best man (Alex’s brother) and a maid of honor (Kristen’s sister).
With this in mind we created a schedule with a more relaxed pace and gave us the ability to take advantage of all the great photo spots at The Dearborn Inn.
With Alex and Kristen looking their best and feeling confident with the camera, we set off to help them create images they’ll love for the rest of their lives!
With time schedule for “Just the Guys” and “Just the Girls” prior to the ceremony, we took time to craft portraits that will be meaningful to Alex and Kristen, including a great “first look” for Kristen’s dad. :-)
The outdoor ceremony space at The Dearborn Inn is a must see if you’re looking for an outdoor wedding venue.
With 130(ish) guests, the gazebo served as a wonderful backdrop for the ceremony while those in attendance sat in white chairs on the wonderfully green landscaping.
After a brief ceremony, Alex and Kristen wanted to make sure their families were photographed. We planned enough time to make sure everyone involved could have some fun with the photos as well.
Then it was time for portraits of the wedding party, the bride and groom and to take advantage of the Dearborn Inn’s grounds.
The Inn not only has the hotel, but it also has 5 cottages on the property that provide a “neighborhood feel” as you walk around the sidewalks and see the white picket fences and trees.
Then it was time for toasts, dinner and fun on the dance floor.
