Phil + Meg | Engagement Photos in Traverse City
They met on the golf course believe it or not. Phil is a golf superintendent and hits the ball fairly well he says. Meg plans weddings and events at a local resort and says she's "not a golfer". She was only playing at all because it was a "manager's outing". They ended up in the same team and the rest is history as they say.
These two love the northern Michigan area and call Elk Rapids home. Their home overlooks the beauty of Elk Lake and both are self proclaimed "water lovers". When the weather is nice, they can be found on some kind of watercraft near their home.
Meg wanted us to venture up to the area for their Traverse City engagement session and we were happy to go. We thought perhaps we would get lucky and the spring weather would break for us, but instead they go fresh snow as the backdrop of their photos.
We visited Grand Traverse Resort, where the two first met and ventured around the fantastic resort. Then we headed over the Elk Rapids Yacht Club where no boats are currently in the water, but the setting, along with the snow created a fun atmosphere. Following a short visit to a local bridge where Meg has dreamed of having photos done since she was a little girl, we finished the session at their home with Winston and Stella (see below).
We are so excited for their Labor Day wedding weekend!
