Luke + Sarah | Michigan State Horticulture Garden Wedding
A few months ago we shared Luke and Sarah's Michigan State University engagement photos. During their engagement session they discussed all the wonderful details they were planning for their wedding day. Those details did not disappoint and their wedding day was magical as the Michigan State Horticulture Gardens were in full bloom! From their window pane signs with table assignments to green initials to match their greenhouse reception, Sarah and Luke put together a wonderful wedding day.
By the way, they were super happy to get married as well.
The day began overcast and they were planning for the worst. A forecast of rain is never a good thing when you've planned for an outdoor ceremony. Thankfully though, the rain held off all day (outside of a 15 minute sprinkle) and the sun even came out just as Luke was taking his place for his wedding ceremony and Sarah was about to walk down the aisle.
These two planned a wonderful first look in the blooming trees of the MSU Gardens and had all their wedding party portraits, family portraits and bride and groom portraits planned for before the ceremony. The reasoning behind this plan was Luke and Sarah wanted to spend cocktail hour with their friends and family who had traveled from around the US to be with them. It was a wonderful touch for the wedding day, watching the bride and groom enjoy that hour seeing friends and family.
Dinner, toasts and dancing all took place inside the MSU Garden's greenhouse and the light was wonderful throughout the evening for photos. The dance floor was full late into the evening and guests all enjoyed the custom beer brewed specifically for the wedding day.
